What
is a cock ring?
It is an object
that typically goes around the base of both the penis and scrotum. As
veins are closer to the surface of the skin than arteries, wearing the
'cock ring' has the effect of allowing blood to flow into the penis
but restricts its ability to flow outwards. This makes the penis get
hard and stay hard for longer. For the 'cock ring' to be effective,
it must be put on when the penis is not erect. When choosing a 'cock
ring', size does matter. A 'cock ring' that is too loose will have no
effect on the user; while a 'cock ring' that is too tight will cut off
all retreating blood flow, thus preventing the penis from ever getting
soft which can become very painful. To get around this problem, some
'cock rings' are made with snaps at different places along a strap of
leather, thus making it easier to fit to size as well as remove. The
best cock rings are even simpler. They're a piece of leather or soft
rope tied into place. (7oz leather lace is the author's favorite, followed
by 1/4" nylon rope.) Being both infinitely adjustable and easy to remove
or cut off with a pair of nurse's shears, they serve all the purpose
of the toy- or hardware- store bought models.
How
do you put on a cock ring?
The easiest
way to both put the 'cock ring' on and take it off is to not be erect.
To put the 'cock ring' on, you place your testicles through the ring,
and then your penis, since at that stage your penis should be softer
and more flexible than the always- solid testes. Taking it off is the
reverse process, but since one of the purposes of a cock ring is to
keep you hard, this can be easier said than done.
